Founded in 2012 by JKriv and Aaron Dae, Razor-N-Tape is a Brooklyn-born and -bred record label focusing on original house and disco music. It has released over 100 projects, featuring artists such as Midnight Magic, Underground System, COEO, and Dimitri From Paris. The label's records draw upon NYC golden-era funk, soul, and disco, reinventing them for present-day dance floors. Razor-N-Tape regularly hosts showcases at Brooklyn's Public Records and Good Room, and also plays shows in San Francisco, Montreal, Detroit, Chicago, London, Barcelona, and beyond. In 2022, the label opened a flagship record store in Greenpoint, Brooklyn, carrying its full catalog plus records from friends and family.
